Course Info

Erwin Technical College in conjunction with Elegant Braiding Academy presents;

THE STATE CERTIFIED HAIR BRAIDING AND WRAPPING COURSE

Students will receive the required hours of education in order to apply for the Hair Braiding & Wrapping License through a Florida Board approved provider and complete the practical hours. 

Student will learn:

  • The principles, practices and theories of communicable diseases.
  • Sanitation procedures.
  • Laws and rules.
  • Hair braiding & wrapping techniques

Upon the conclusion of this course, the student will have a basic understanding of various braiding techniques as well as basic crochet techniques.

  • Cornrow
  • French Braid (under braids)
  • Free Hanging braids  
  • Cornrows with extensions
  • Free hanging braids with extensions (box braids)
  • Crochet Braids     

 

 To register, please visit the student services office between the hours of 8:00am to 3:00 pm Monday through Thursday.  Tuesday evenings until 6:00.  Payment is due at the time of registration.  Payment must be made in the form of money order.   

**Courses are subject to cancellation if the enrollment is below the stipulated minimum of 8 students.
